Program and Training

The life enrichment activities of LEAP invite older adults to engage and adjust in positive ways to changes in life by creating a culture of wellness wherever they are: whether it’s in an apartment, home, foster care, independent living, assisted living community, or as a participant of a senior center. Wellness is not a program. It is an attitude and philosophy that supports living life to its fullest, at all ages, with all the changes in functioning that aging, disability and/or illness may bring. As a Life Enrichment Coordinator (typically an activity director), your role is of the utmost importance to your community. You are an ambassador of wellness and a great resource (if not the only resource in some situations) to contributing to the overall quality of life many residents experience.
